Clearspring Organic Kukicha loose leaf tea is grown in the luscious hills around Kyoto and Kyushu, areas known for their ideal climatic and soil conditions which produce some of the finest tea in Japan. Uniquely, it is made from the carefully selected twigs and stems of Japanese tea bushes, rather than green tea leaves which gives it a warm brown colour, mild flavour, and rich roasted aroma.
Add 2 heaped teaspoons of tea to 250ml fresh water per person in a saucepan. Bring to the boil, lower the heat and simmer for 3 minutes before serving.
